UFC's Miesha Tate to be featured in ESPN the Magazine's 'The Body Issue'

Miesha Tate, will appear in the fifth edition of ESPN The Magazine's "The Body Issue." The issue hits newsstands on July 12.Other confirmed athletes appearing nude in this year's "Body Issue" include Matt Harvey, Colin Kaepernick, Kenneth Faried, Kerri Walsh Jennings, Giancarlo Stanton, Swin Cash, John Wall, Vernon Davis, John Isner, Sydney Leroux, Carly Booth, Joffrey Lupul, Elena Hight, Agnieszka Radwanska, Chris Sharma, Daila Ojeda, Marlen Esparza, Tarah Gieger and 77-year-old Gary Player.

UFC champ Anderson Silva still wants to box Roy Jones Jr.



"Of course I want to fight him, and maybe after this fight against (Chris) Weidman, regardless of the outcome, I would love to fight him," Silva said through an interpreter. "He's already said he'd fight me, so that's something I'd really like to happen."

"I feel that his boxing style is one that I'd like to test myself against. I've always been a fan of his, and I've always wanted to test myself against Roy Jones."


"I could do it, make it huge, make money, but I could have done a fight like this when we were bleeding money [in the early 2000s]," White then told CBS Sports.com. "The fight would make some money, but it hurts MMA in the long term. We don't do that because we love the sport. That's a PRIDE or K-1 matchup. It's not what we do."




UFC on FOX Sports 1 3 official for Brazil with Bader-Teixeira, Okami-Souza

UFC on FOX Sports 1 3 will take place in Belo Horizonte with a main event between light heavyweights Ryan Bader (15-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) and Glover Teixeira (21-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC). The co-main event will feature middleweights Yushin Okami (29-7 MMA, 13-4 UFC) and Ronaldo Souza (18-3 MMA, 1-0 UFC). Also official for the show is a flyweight bout between Joseph Benavidez (18-3 MMA, 5-1 UFC) and Jussier Formiga(15-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC).

UFC's Mike Swick says he's returning to middleweight

The veteran UFC fighter announced the plans via Twitter.

"I wanna come back at a big and healthy 185. No more sickly 170 for me!" he wrote in a response to a fan's question about his return.

Champ Jon Jones vs. Alexander Gustafsson to headline UFC 165 in Toronto

A title fight between UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones (18-1 MMA, 12-1 UFC) and Alexander Gustafsson (15-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) will headline UFC 165 in Toronto.

UFC President Dana White today confirmed the plans at UFC 161's open workouts in Winnipeg.UFC 165 is slated for Sept. 21 at Toronto's Air Canada Centre.

Amanda Nunes vs. Sheila Gaff slotted for UFC 163 in Brazil

The first female fight in UFC-Brazil history – between promotional newcomer Amanda Nunes (7-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Sheila Gaff (10-5-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) is the latest addition to August's UFC 163 event in Brazil.

Visa issues reportedly stop Sonnen-Rua at UFC 161

The UFC made the announcement late Monday night that Rua had been removed from the card. But Globo, which first reported that Sonnen and Rua would meet, reported that visa issues created a problem for Sonnen to get into Canada – and that the two are expected to meet on Aug. 17 at UFC on FOX Sports 1 1 in Boston. The UFC has yet to announce the fight is in the works.
