Miesha Tate replaces injured Cat Zingano for ‘TUF 18′ coaching gig, title fight

A injured knee has forced Cat Zingano (8-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) to withdraw from an upcoming coaching spot on Season 18 of TUF and a title fight with UFC women’s bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC).“This is what we really wanted all along,” Rousey told Yahoo! Sports. “Everyone said an ‘Ultimate Fighter’ between me and Miesha would be the best. We have a personal history with each other and this is a personal show. “For some reason, me and Miesha are intertwined in fate like Ali and Frazier or something like that. I think people will look back at this as one of monumental rivalries and look back at this as one of those things that really cemented women’s MMA.”

"I felt I was cheated a little in that fight with Cat," she told Yahoo! "I had two solid rounds and one not-so-good round. Either way, I felt I was meant to be here and it's come full circle."

Glover Teixeira volunteers for Jon Jones title fight

The 33-year-old has his eyes on a title shot and Jones' belt.

"Hey, if they have any problem, I'm here," he told FUEL TV's Ariel Helwani after the fight.

UFC President Dana White said Gustafsson is the first choice. Machida, despite a past loss to Jones, has defeated Ryan Bader and Dan Henderson since the title loss, and he's also in the mix."Whatever they do, I'll be happy to get in the octagon again soon as possible if they need someone," he said. "If they have trouble finding an opponent for Jon Jones, I'm here."

UFC fines Anderson Silva $50,000 for media-event no-show

Anderson Silva was fined $50,000 for refusing to take part in a planned pre-UFC 162 media event. He was scheduled to talk with a few of Los Angeles' largest media outlets on Tuesday but ultimately skipped the session and instead flew home to his native Brazil.

"We had a full media day set up for him in Los Angeles, and he just decided he didn't want to do it, so he's being fined $50,000," UFC President Dana White told USA TODAY Sports and (www.mmajunkie.com).

"He doesn't like talking to the media, but it's part of his contractual obligation," White said. "Everybody wants more money, more money, more money, but nobody wants to sell the fight or go out and talk to the media. Talking to the media is part of your job, whether you like it or not."

"Nick Diaz didn't show up for the press conference," White said. "This was just a smaller media day, but it's still not acceptable, so we're fining him $50,000."
